Youth protection at Growing Green Leaders. In line with Rotary International's Statement of Conduct for Working with Youth, every participant under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian complete the permission and consent sections of this form. Rotary volunteers who work directly with youth in this program have completed Rotary's required youth-protection screening. 4. Permissions & consent

For participants under 18: these boxes must be reviewed and checked by the parent or legal guardian named in Section 2, in accordance with Rotary International's youth-protection requirement that parents or legal guardians give written permission before a minor participates in a Rotary-affiliated youth program.

I consent to the named participant taking part in Growing Green Leaders program activities, including classroom lessons, virtual training sessions, local Rotary club mentorship meetings, and (if selected as a finalist) the April 22, 2027 Earth Day Student Showcase & Awards Ceremony.

I acknowledge Rotary International's Statement of Conduct for Working with Youth, which requires Rotarians, Rotarian partners, and volunteers to safeguard the young people they work with and protect them from physical, sexual, and psychological abuse. I understand that any safety concern can be reported to the program organizers or to the participant's local Rotary district using the contact details provided on this page, and will be addressed promptly.

I grant Growing Green Leaders, The Environmental Xperience, the Rotary Club of Newport Beach, The 7 Seas Foundation, the Rotary Climate Action Team, The Climate Initiative, and CAVU permission to use the participant's submitted video, project materials, name, school, and photos/video from program events for judging, the international CIC showcase, and program promotion. (Optional — video submission for the contest itself is still possible without additional promotional use; contact us with questions.)

For in-person program activities, I authorize event organizers and on-site Rotary volunteers to seek emergency medical treatment for the participant if I cannot be reached immediately, and I have provided accurate emergency contact information above.

I have read the data privacy note below. For participants under 13, I understand this registration requires verifiable parent or guardian consent under the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and that our information will only be used to administer the program.
